University of Auckland (July 2018 - November 2018)
I worked as a Teaching Assitant for the Databases and Business Intelligence course (INFOSYS 330).
As part of my role, I had to run weekly 2-hour labs which taught students Transact-SQL, Data Warehouse, and Business Intelligence.
Waitemata Youth Collective (July 2017)
I was given the opportunity to work as a mobile app developer for Waitemata Youth Collective
(which is funded by Auckland Council) to help build a mobile app that is accessible anytime, anywhere.
The purpose of the app was to transform the paper version of their MyAucklandMap into a digital version.
I worked with a student designer from AUT and was mentored by a web developer. The app was built using
Apache Cordova and Google Maps API. I had to learn jQuery as I was building the app which was a very
fun challenge.
Crystalnix (August 2016 - November 2016)
I was a Business Development Assistant for Crystalnix, a small mobile app developing company
that originated from Russia and was looking at launching into the NZ market with goals of reaching
the Australian markets eventually. I worked part-time alongside my studies to seek B2B opportunities
for Crystalnix with medium to large NZ firms. I had to research new technology trends and come up with
creative ideas to sell Crystalnix's services to NZ companies by cold-calling. I had managed to successfully
schedule two different company meet ups before leaving the position. I also got the opportunity to learn
about augmented reality and virtural reality and how it could potentially integrate into the retail, insurance,
and museum industries.
Ray White (March 2016 - August 2016)
I worked as a call operator at Ray White City Apartments to help identify potential leads which
I can pass onto real estate sales agents. Having no background or experience in the property,
I learnt a lot about the property market through a series of work training sessions and communication
with potential clients as well as co-workers.
Crimson Consulting (December 2015 - March 2016)
I briefly worked as a tutor for Crimson Consulting teaching ECON 101 (Microeconomics)
and COMLAW 101 (Law in a Business Envrionment).
School Canteen (February 2012 - October 2012)
During my lunch breaks at high school, I worked in the school canteen with
the canteen staff to serve students. Tasks ranged from handling cash payments
to cleaning and restocking food items.
